[origin: EP1685915A1] An edging device for bending an edging land (2) of a component (1) round a flanging edge (3), comprises (a) a tool head (5) and (b) a first edging form (11; 14) and a second edging form (12; 13) carried simultaneously by the tool head (5) in the working position and mounted one after the other in a working direction (L). An independent claim is also included for a method for forming an edge, in which (a) a tool head with forms as above is moved along the edge (3) in a working run, preferably with one of the forms (11, 12; 13, 14) being moveable across the edge (3) (relative to the other), (b) the front-running form (11; 13) turns the land over the edge and the following form (12; 14) turns it over further in the same run.
