Abstract (en)
Presented is a composite closure for jars and bottles comprising a disk shaped inner cap (2) held in position by a ring shaped element (1), with a special feature (3) that reduces the torque needed for unscrewing the closure from the opening of the container. During opening the feature pushes up the disk shaped inner cap overcoming the forces applied between jar or bottle and closure that create the sealing of the package. Because of this the needed torque to open the container is reduced substantially and containers with the new closure are considerably easier to open.
