Abstract (en)
The floor conveyor has a driver (3), a load part (4) connected to a fork lift attachment (5) and a variable operator's platform (2). A sensor (10) such as a touch sensitive switch is arranged at an edge (9) of the operator's platform, and detects and recognises obstacles such as articles in the transverse path of the operator's platform. The sensor can also detect obstacles underneath the raisable operator's platform. The touch sensitive switch is arranged along the entire length of the edge.
