[origin: EP1686329A2] The apparatus has a heater (5) having an inlet and outlet (2, 3) and a heating stage (4) with water provided by the inlet warmed to a first and second temperature T1, T2. The temperature of water per unit time flowing through the heater is measured (8). The measuring instrument produces an electrical signal representing the information about flow of water. An electronic control unit (9) controls the supplied amount of heat by a discrete switching status, so that for a first flow interval a first switching status is provided and for further flow intervals further switching status is provided.
