Abstract (en)
The machine has a control unit (133) with a processor for presetting a position of a stamping head (130) so as to terminate stamping of sensitive data (12) on a mail article before the mail article reaches a gripping unit (140) and to stabilize the mail article by the gripping unit before starting stamping of the sensitive data. A keyboard selects the stamp head position among group of preset positions stored in a non-volatile memory.
