[origin: WO2005052211A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a corrosion-resistant and oxidation-resistant coating, in addition to a component comprising a coating of this type. According to the invention, a component is prepared from a component material and a slurry. In addition to a binding agent, the slurry contains at least one metal powder, said powder consisting of at least 25 wt. % of at least one metal in the platinum group and is either formed from encased powder cores, (the latter consisting of at least one metal in the platinum group and said casing of the powder core consisting of a material that has the same base as the component material), or from a metal powder alloy, which contains at least one material that has the same base as the component material, in addition to at least one metal of the platinum group. The slurry is applied at least to sections of the component, forming a slurry coating. Said coating is then hardened or dried. The component that is coated at least in sections with the slurry and is then subjected to a thermal treatment so that said coating diffuses into the component.
