Abstract (en)
For the recovery of ink cartridges for recycling, used by printers, at least one electrical contact point (15a-15n) is detected at the cartridge (1) to determine at least a part of the individual cartridge identification. The part-information is scanned and then converted, especially electrically, to give a sub-set of one or more bits in a bit series or a serial data series. The altered identification is recognized by the printer as a new cartridge for the block to be lifted. A circuit incorporates an electronic unit (17) as part of a micro-controller or microprocessor, with gate connections (A1-A22) for the contact points. One connection is linked through a resistance (R1) to an analog/digital converter (19). The electronic unit has two power supplies (19a,19b).
