[origin: EP1688527A1] The door opening system for a top loading horizontal axis washer/drier with at least one door flap (3, 4) on its rotary drum surrounded by a casing (1), comprising a release mechanism and actuator (5), includes two drum positioners (8). The first enables the drum to be positioned opposite the actuator, and the second positions the drum opening (9) opposite the casing aperture. Both the release mechanism actuator and positioners are motorised.
