Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1688589A1] The turbocharger has a compressor wheel arranged in a compressor housing and a turbine wheel arrranged in a turbine housing. A rotor shaft is guided in a bearing housing and is fastened to the turbine wheel and the compressor wheel. A rotor shaft sealing device (8) is arranged between a turbine side end region of the bearing housing and the rotor shaft. The sealing device is formed as a gas-lubricated slip ring sealing device. An independent claim is also included for a method of mounting a rotor shaft sealing device.
