Abstract (en)
The pan has a circular flange surface (2), where the pan is cast from a ferrous material. The pan is screwed under insertion of a seal to a crank case of an internal-combustion engine with the surface. Lateral splines (3) are provided in an area of the surface. Screwing surfaces (6a-6d) provided opposite to front sides (5a, 5b) of the pan are laterally projected by longitudinal sides (4a, 4b) that are adjacent to the front sides.
