[origin: WO2005053909A1] For handling reasons, an attempt is made to construct electrically operated pressing tools (1) as compact as possible. The pressing tool (1) comprises a hydraulic pump (3) that acts upon a piston-cylinder unit (4) by means of which locking pliers (2) can be actuated by a roll holder (7) with rolls (8). During actuation, hydraulic oil is conveyed out of an elastic hydraulic oil reservoir (6) and into the cylinder chamber (12) and, from there, flows back again after a pressure build-up. In order to save space, the invention provides that the hydraulic oil reservoir (6) is provided in the form of a sleeve (36) that sealingly acts as a cylinder housing (13) of the piston-cylinder unit (4). An actuating valve (9) in the piston-cylinder unit (4) can be actuated while passing through the sleeve (36).
