[origin: WO2005052359A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection system (1), in particular, for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, comprising a cylinder head (10), in which fuel lines (11) are arranged and at least two fuel injection valves. The fuel injection valves (5) each have an actuator (2) and a valve needle (12), cooperating with the actuator (2). A valve sealing body (13) is embodied at the ejection end of the valve needle (12), cooperating with a valve seat surface (24), to give a sealing seat. The at least two fuel injection valves (5) are arranged in valve housing openings (16) and the fuel lines (11) open out in the valve housing openings (16) and, furthermore, in each fuel connector (8), arranged in the side of each fuel injection valve (5). The fuel lines (11) are connected to each other in the cylinder head (10).
