Abstract (en)
A core shooting machine producing foundry molds or a core (2) from sand (5) in a mold (3) has a shooting plate (10) including a shooting head (4) with a cap (6) and nozzle (8) and also a table (14) movable to and away from head (4), the mold being formed of upper part (16) on plate (10), a lower part (18) on table (14) and a peripheral wall (20) and the upper (16) and/or lower (18) mold part being tightly enclosed in the shooting stage by wall (20) fixed to table (14) or plate (10) such that on shooting the sand into the cavity (22) the mold parts can move to compress the sand and so produce the foundry mold or core (2). An independent claim is also included for production of foundry molds or a core (2) from sand (5) in a cavity (22) in a mold (3) such that after shooting the upper (16) and/or lower (18) mold parts are moved so as to compress the sand.
