Abstract (en)

Signatures, or sections (16, 18, 20) are supplied to the conveying and binding line (22) of a gang binder, using loaders (10, 12, 14). The signatures are collected on the line, to form a sheet assembly or stack (30). This is bound together e.g. by stitching or stapling along the line, to produce e.g. a brochure or booklet (32). Still along the line, a press (40) consolidates the spines (31). An independent claim is included for the corresponding binding machine.
