[origin: EP1690977A2] An ironing board (10) having an ironing board top (100) formed from a plastic material, and a stand (200) movably mounted to the top. The stand (200) has first and second mutually pivotable legs (210,240), each said leg being formed from a plastic material and configured for providing suitable mechanical properties to the stand (200), the stand (200) being reversibly movable between a deployed position and a stowed position with respect to the top.
