[origin: EP1691018A1] Profile strip (01a, 01b) comprises an elastically deformable sealing band (03) for fixing the profile strip. The sealing band has a closed cell pore structure or foam structure. A covering strip (09a, 09b) is arranged on the profile strip to partially cover the joint between the profile strip and a building surface (13, 14). A sealing composition is formed on the outer side of the covering strip.
