[origin: WO2005057225A1] The invention relates to a method and an array for determining the rotational speed of a direct current motor, wherein an analogue/digital converter (5) is coupled to the supply terminal of a motor (1). Two man value generators (61, 62), which are connect to the output of the analogue/digital converter (5), provide mean values in relation to a different quantity of scanning values. A comparator (63) determines the sign of the mean values comparison. The rotational speed of the motor (1) is determined with an arithmetic unit (64) depending on the quantity of scanning values between the sign changes.
