Abstract (en)
Homogenizing a pumpable product comprises pressurizing the product with a pump (8) and homogenizing it in a homogenizer (12) comprising a rotor and stator and a drive unit (16), where the pump has a separate drive unit (14) independent of the homogenizer's drive unit. An independent claim is also included for apparatus for homogenizing a pumpable product, comprising a pump upstream of a homogenizer comprising a rotor and stator in a housing, where the pump is driven independently of the homogenizer.
