The centrifuge drum (1) has openings (5) which are introduced in drum shell (2) in axial as well as in circumferential direction and are arranged at a distance from each other. The contour of the openings extend in axial direction so that drum circumference is covered with openings. An independent claim is also included for the method for manufacture of centrifuge drum.
