Abstract (en)

Pulp beater comprises a vessel for receiving pulp and water, a blade-bearing rotor mounted in the vessel, and a screen (10) whose surface is swept by the rotor. The rotor blades (3) are curved so that the angle (alpha ) between the tip of the leading edge (4) and the circumference (5) of the blade path is no more than 20[deg] and the blades are fitted on top with forward-projecting guide facings (7) that intersect the circumference at an angle (beta ) of at least 40[deg]. An independent claim is also included for a pulp beater rotor as above.
