Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005058451A1] The invention relates to a method for mixing a multiphase fluid in a mixing reactor and subsequently separating different heavy phases in a reservoir usable at least intermittently in the form of a sedimentation tank and for returning the separated phases in said mixing reactor. In order to increase the load of the sedimentation tank, said invention is characterised in that a volume flow which intermittently comes from the sedimentation tank or from a return line is run towards the inlet flow of the sedimentation tank through a short flow path. The inventive arrangement for carrying out said method comprises a mixing reactor (2) and a sedimentation tank (6) arranged in such a way that the volume flow coming from the sedimentation tank (6) or from the return line (9) is guided to the inlet flow of the sedimentation tank (6) through a short flow path.
