According to the invention, a first roof bow (14, 18; 62, 64) extends from the left A column (22, 54) to the rear left column (24, 28) while a second roof bow (12, 16; 66) runs from the right A column (20) to the rear left column (26, 30; 56). The inventive roof extension is used for stabilizing a utility vehicle cab.
