Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2863275A1] Method for diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer by amplification of specific nucleic acid sequences. Method for diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer comprises: (a) extracting nucleic acid from a sample; (b) amplification with at least one pair of primers, and (c) using at least one probe to detect the amplicons formed. The new feature is that in (b), at least one primer contains at least 10 nucleotides (nt) from any of sequences (S1)-(S20), all fully defined in the specification, and/or in step (c) the detection probe contains at least 10 nt from the same sequences. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) amplification primer (AP) containing at least 10 nt from sequences (S1)-(S20) or (S25)-(S29) (all fully defined in the specification); (2) eight specific primer pairs; (3) detection probe (DP) containing at least 10 nt from sequences (S1)-(S20); and (4) kit for the new process comprising at least one AP, a pair of AP or a DP.
