[origin: WO2005062446A1] The invention relates to a magnetic rail (2) of an electric linear motor, lying with the upper side thereof on overlapping stop lugs (9) of retainer elements, fixed to a support (1) and arranged at a given height above the support (1). The separation between the support (1) and the stop lugs (9) is greater than the corresponding thickness of the magnetic rails (2), which are tensioned against the stop lugs (9) in a defined manner, with low force, by means of spring elements (10). The separation of the magnetic rails (2) from a coil component (6) of the linear motor is held constant independent of differences in the thickness and a stressing of the longitudinally-displaceable magnetic rails (2) with the support (1), due to differing thermal expansions, is avoided.
