[origin: EP1696179A2] The hob has a carrier that is exchangeably inserted into a frame (18) from a side, and a hob plate (52) for receiving a cookware, where the carrier and the frame are connected in a form-fit manner. The carrier has edges (32) which grip a groove (34) of the frame in insertion direction at an engaging condition. A printed circuit board (22) is provided for receiving electrical and/or electronic components.
