[origin: EP1696180A2] Suction device has suction hood (1) which is mounted over the cooking device, which sucks in the cooking fume emerging when the cooking device is in use. An additional air mechanism is so arranged at the cooking device that it generates an air curtain, which goes laterally over the cooking device to the suction hood. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Retrofit kit; and (B) Application.
