Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1696193A1] Method involves heating air in chamber at heating rate of 30-450C/hour to temperature of 130-1650C, with following subjecting of wood to the action of water vapors for 0.5-1.75 hours; heating resultant gas-vapor medium in chamber at heating rate of 4-80C/hour to temperature of 160-2000C; processing wood with water vapors for 0.5-1.75 hours, with following heating of gas-vapor medium in chamber at heating rate of 4-80C/hour to temperature of 160-2000C and holding wood at said temperature for 2.5-6 hours; subjecting wood to the action of water vapors for 0.5-1.75 hours, with following heating of gas-vapor medium in chamber at heating rate of 4-80C/hour to temperature of 160-2000C; stopping heating process; after expiring of 1-3.5 hour period, processing wood with water vapors for 0.5-1.75 hours by supplying into chamber of water vapors having temperature of 120-1600C and discharging gas-vapor medium from chamber. Also described are wood-working apparatus, construction member and work piece manufactured from wood processed by said method. Method allows wood material of thickness exceeding 200 mm to be processed.
