[origin: EP1696705A1] The unit has a pair of dielectric layers (2) that is designed, such that it is distributed on both outer surfaces of a metallic substrate (1) and is not deformed by the heat caused during the burning of the layers. A layer (3) is different from a pair of dielectric layers (4) and is distributed on both sides of the pair of dielectric layers (2). A heating layer (5) is applied on the respective outer dielectric layer (4). An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a large-surface heating unit.
