Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005059228A2] Disclosed is a bellows-type collar for washing machines comprising a machine housing (1), a lye container (2) that is arranged therein, a cantilevered drum (3) which is rotatably disposed in the lye container (2), and a frontal charging door. Said bellows-type collar (20) is provided with an inner (21), a central (22), and an outer collar ring (23) and is sealingly fixed to both the machine housing (1) and the lye container (2) in the area of the charging door. The inner collar ring (21) is visible through a bull's eye-type glass of the access hole located on the housing side. The aim of the invention is to embody the bellows-type collar in such a way that the inner collar ring (21) remains as crease-free as possible during movements of the lye container (2). Said aim is achieved by assigning an annular stiffening element (28) to the visible inner collar ring (21), said stiffening element (28) blocking forces that could deform the inner collar ring (21) starting from the more peripheral collar rings (22 and 23).
