[origin: WO2005059260A1] A sink (100) comprising at least one rinsing basin (102) which is provided with a basin flange (106) on the upper edge thereof, a cover (130) which is placed on the rinsing basin and which at least partially covers the basin flange, in addition to at least one sink-side retaining element (118) which cooperates with a retaining element (150), which is located on the work top, when the sink is in a mounted position in order to fix the sink to a work top (138). According to the invention, the sink-side retaining element is connected to the basin flange in order to dispense with post-treatment of visible surfaces of the sink during the production thereof and in order to design the cover in a free manner, particularly such that it can be recess-free.
