[origin: EP1548232A1] The gas turbine, and especially compressor, has guide vane roots (27) retained on a ring-form guide vane carrier (18), with fastening means provided between the guide vane carrier and guide vane roots and the vane roots pressed into undercuts (24) in circumferential slots (21) in the vane carriers. The fastening means have at least one slot-form recess (26) in the base of the circumferential slot extending along its periphery, and in which fit ring-form pressed segments (30) which under a pretensioning press against the guide vane roots. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a gas turbine with a compressor with guide vane roots retained on a ring-form guide vane carrier; (B) a ring-form guide vane carrier for the fastening of guide vanes for especially a gas turbine; and (C) a method for the fitting of guide vanes on a ring-form guide vane carrier of a gas turbine compressor.
