Die Erfindung betrifft eine Druckvorrichtung 1 mit einem Druckkopf 2, welcher Mittel 3 zum Aufbringen einer Tinte 4 auf ein Substrat aufweist, wobei die Mittel 3 zum Aufbringen der Tinte 4 Tintendüsen 5 umfassen, mit Mitteln 6 zum Verfahren des Druckkopfes 2 aus einer Ruheposition A in einen Arbeitsbereich B und zurück, und mit einem Tintenabfallbehälter 7, welcher in der Ruheposition A des Druckkopfes 2 und den Tintendüsen 5 in der Ruheposition A des Druckkopfes 2 unmittelbar gegenüber liegend angeordnet ist, wobei der Tintenabfallbehälter 7 ein offenpöriges Absorbermaterial 8 enthält. Sie ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Absor-bermaterial 8 auf seinen inneren und/oder äußeren Oberflächen ein hygroskopisches Material trägt, aufweist.
