Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1698908A2] An input signal is converted into an electrical signal and electrical signal is processed by signal processing unit (5). An output signal perceived by an user of hearing aid (1) as an acoustic signal is generated and a parameter is adjustable for adapting the signal processing unit to spatial hearing areas. A satellite-assisted positioning system generating a position signal related to hearing aid is provided. The position signal is generated by positioning system and evaluated. The parameter is adjusted based on the evaluated position signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) hearing aid; (2) mobile activation device; and (3) operating parameter set method.
