[origin: WO2005065471A1] Liquid flavouring agents and other substances are transferred to cigarettes either immediately before or during packaging of cigarettes (12). The aim of the invention is achieved by virtue of the fact that the substances are transferred directly to free ends of the cigarettes (12) after cigarette groups (11) are formed, during transportation thereof. Alternatively, substances can be transferred to the inside of the inner covering of the cigarette groups, in particular, to a folding tab of a bottom wall.
