[origin: WO2005063414A1] A mail sorting machine comprising an injection carrousel (1) and a system (4) for injecting mail items (3) on a narrow edge into receptacles (2) of the carrousel (1). Each receptacle (2) of the carrousel (1) is defined by a bottom partition wall (9) and two side partition walls (5, 6). A flexible deflector (12) is fixed to the first of the side partition walls (5) of each receptacle such that each mail item (3) injected into the receptacle (2) is guided towards the bottom partition wall (9) and is substantially pressed against the second side partition wall (6).
