[origin: WO2005054545A1] The invention relates to an electrochemical ozone generator which is used to generate ozone by means of an electrochemical cell. Said cell comprises a cathode, an anode and an electrolyte which is arranged therebetween. The ozone generator is embodied as a compact ozone generator and has a tubular-shaped housing provided with at least one end-sided opening. Said end-sided opening enables the ozone generator to be immersed in a liquid which is to be ozonified and the electrochemical cell is arranged in the vicinity of the end-sided opening inside the tubular-shaped housing.
