[origin: EP1700981A2] The door opener has a lockable retainer part (4), which cooperates with a latch and/or a bolt of a door lock. An electrical unlocking drive comprises an electric circuit (9), and cooperates with a locking unit for releasing the retainer part. An unlocking mechanism (10) that is independent of the drive interrupts the electric circuit of the drive for electrical overloading of the retainer part.
