Abstract (en)
The method involves transmitting, from a user towards a server, a request for a free parking space specifying a place and information representative of a vehicle length, and capturing images of a parking zone by an image capturing device. An identifier of the device and lengths of free parking places are transmitted towards the server. A location of the free parking place and the length are transmitted from the server towards the user. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a free parking place detecting device including an image capturing device (2) a free parking place detecting server including a module for comparing different parking place lengths.
