Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005060813A1] The aim of the invention is to provide a device for spraying items to be washed in a dishwasher, which enables the items to be washed to be acted upon by a washing liquid as efficiently as possible in a space-saving manner and to eliminate both wear related to moving parts as well as the susceptance to failure. To this end, the invention provides that, in the inventive dishwasher, a spraying device for subjecting the items to be washed to washing liquid is provided in a washing compartment serving to accommodate items to be washed. This spraying device has a number of fixed spraying nozzles, which are arranged in the bottom, top and/or wall area of the washing compartment and, on a side oriented toward the interior of the washing compartment, have at least one opening through which the washing liquid passes. The invention is advantageous in that due to the items to be washed being subjected to the action of washing liquid exiting a number of fixed spraying nozzles, rotating spraying arms or other moving parts can be eliminated whereby reducing both a movement-related wear as well as the susceptance to failure. The inventive dishwasher is also advantageous by virtue of the fact that the spray streams exiting from the number of fixed spraying nozzles enable a distribution of the washing liquid inside the washing compartment that is uniform and adapted to the items to be washed.
