[origin: WO2005060818A1] The aim of the invention is to provide a seal between the door apron and the lip of the container in a dishwasher, enabling a high sealing performance to be obtained during the entire service life of the dishwasher, providing an esthetic design. The seal should also be able to be mounted in a reliable manner without any considerable expenditure of force, recycling should be possible on account of the selection of materials and said seal should be able to withstand the dynamic strain put upon the door seal of a dishwasher. The inventive dishwasher is provided with a door seal which is made of an elastic synthetic material, consisting of a fixing area which is suitable for connection to the edge of a rinsing container, a sealing element which is suitable for arrangement on the underside of a dishwasher and which is arranged between the fixing area and the sealing element, wherein the fixing area, sealing element and sealing strip are embodied as a single part.
