Painting installation (100) in mixed order motor vehicle bodies of two different motor vehicle bodies types comprises a painting section (110) for filler or top coating or top coat-base coat with at least a painting box, in which fully automatic inner and outer painting with filler or top coating or top coat-base coat of motor vehicle bodies of at least two different vehicle types is carried out. The retention time of each motor vehicle body is provided in painting box specific to type of the motor vehicle body.
