Abstract (en)
The urinal has an anti-siphon trap comprising a pot-like outer part and an inner part that extends into a ring-shaped channel provided for a sealing liquid. A receiving container (15) for receiving a sealing medium (29) is provided in the channel in such a manner that a portion of the medium stays in contact with the liquid. The medium has a density smaller than the density of the liquid, and is in the form of pills, balls or granules. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a waterless urinal.
