[origin: EP1703046A2] A lock of the type which comprises a box-shaped body (11), a spring latch (15) which protrudes from an opening (17) formed in a wall (14a) of the box-shaped body (11), and means (18) for the mechanical connection of the spring latch (15) to at least one actuator (20, 21). The spring latch (15) comprises a first body (22), which is partially external with respect to the box-shaped body (11) and is designed to close the lock according to a right-or left-handed closure orientation, and a second body (23, 123), which is internal to the box-shaped body (11) and is mechanically connected to the at least one actuator (20, 21). The first body (22) is coupled to the second body (23, 123) by way of quick-locking means (24) of the reversible type. The coupling of the first body (22) with the second body (23, 123) occurs, depending on the chosen closure orientation, by inserting the first body (22) through the opening (17).
