Abstract (en)
The door closer (1) has an actuating device (7) either side of the door panel (2) to transfer the actuating force solely in the opening or closing direction of the door. The actuating device has a drive rod (15) which diverts the actuating force through an intermediate member (14) ninety degrees to an output rod (13) which is coupled to the latch (8). A toothed actuating rack (15) running perpendicular to the plane of the door panel is connected by an intermediate pinion (14) to a rack (13) running in the plane of the door panel.
