Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1703089A1] The actuator has an isthmus (201) forming a magnetic circuit to form a passage for magnetic flux generated by an electromagnet (204) for a part of a field generated by a magnet (202), when the electromagnet generates a magnetic field to attract and/or maintain a movable magnetic plate (206) opposite to the actuator. The isthmus is magnetically saturated by the partial magnetic field of the magnet. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle comprising an electro mechanic actuator controlling a valve of an internal combustion engine.
