[origin: EP1703115A1] The valve has a thermostat valve housing (2) at which cooling water inlet and outlet openings are arranged. A housing of a exhaust gas recirculation valve is provided directly and locally adjacent to the housing (2). A valve mechanism of the recirculation valve is integrated in the housing (2) in addition to a thermostat valve mechanism. A cooling water passing via the housing cools the gas passing through the recirculation valve.
