Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1703126A2] The compressor has a trunk piston (8) that comprises two-stage piston ring gaskets (3, 4), an engine space (1) and a working space. A chamber (5) is arranged between the ring gaskets, where an internal pressure of the chamber is always higher than the internal pressure of the engine space. One of the piston ring gaskets seals the chamber against the engine space and the other gasket seals the chamber against the working space.
