The cap has an outer wall that fits into the container's opening and a concentric inner wall forming a cavity for containing an air treatment agent. Device for sealing the opening of tubular containers for packaging products sensitive to atmospheric pollutants comprises a cap (1), a mounting ring (2) for attachment to the container, two hinges (6, 7) connecting the cap to the mounting ring, a spring (9) that assists opening and closing of the cap and controlling the angle at which it is opened, and an antitamper system in the form of peripheral microwelds and/or a tear-off strip between the cap and the mounting ring. The cap has an outer wall that fits into the container's opening and a concentric inner wall forming a cavity for containing an air treatment agent.
