[origin: EP1704973A1] The method of cutting a strip form food involves placing the foodstuff on a support (2) to be gripped (18,19) at its outer end and pushed forwardly to a cutter (8). During cutting, the foodstuff is held by a lower holder (15) in the direction of a lifting surface (3) of the support. The foodstuff is protected from tipping by a retainer (22) during feeding.
