Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1704974A2] The device has a counterweight (2) mounted on a side that lies opposite to a cutter arm at a point outside of an axial center of a cutter retaining shaft such that a force acting away from a cutter and toward the axial center is generated by a centrifugal force when a rotor rotates. The size of counterweight is designed such that cutting force is provided in consideration of the centrifugal force acting on the counterweight. An independent claim is also included for a drive unit for receiving pull in and out rollers of a rotary ring debarking machine.
